The Duff Young Foundation
Building Sustainable Communities For Africa's Future

Phase I: SEEDS
Sustainable Agriculture Kits give farmers a wide assortment of seeds that meet all their nutritional, fertilizer, and biocontrol needs. SAKs give each farmer the knowledge and flexibility to experiment and take control of his or her own livelihood, while demanding personal accountability to make the program sustainable.

Phase II: SPECIALIZATION
Successful SAK communities receive training and microfinance for specialized entrepreneurial businesses, creating a robust and diverse trading economy in which each worker is as productive as possible.

Phase III: STYLE
Attractive concrete homes with affordable mortgage financing and real property titles create beautiful towns in which rising property values put more capital in the hands of farmers and entrepreneurs.
